13.01.2021: Second prototype

At the beginning of the year we received the latest prototype of the Jack Shirt. Based on feedback from our Community on the last prototype, we are getting pretty close to a perfect result. Now we just need some good testers to help us reach our goal!

P.S. Both models are wearing the same product in a men's size L. Jo is 188 cm and Marte is 172 cm.

Details:

  • Material. The Jack Shirt is made of comfortable wool fleece. That way you get a soft product that warms when wet, doesn't smell and is made with natural materials.
  • Buttons. To make sure the product can be used as both a shirt and a jacket, we decided to use buttons instead of a zipper in front. The downside is that it takes longer to take the jacket off, but we are willing to give that up for classic design. To give it even more of a jacket look the buttons are larger than on a traditional shirt. There is also a button at the very bottom (most shirts are open). Thanks to Community member Knut, we also introduced olive tree buttons – the same material used for our Grandpa Longsleeve.
  • Fit. The Jack Shirt has a jacket-like fit. Not slim, in other words.
  • Pockets. There are pockets on the chest and in the sides. A no brainer if you ask us. The chest pockets may be unnecessary for some, but we believe that they are important to create a timeless and classic design.
  • Collar. You have the opportunity to fold the collar up when needed and use it for extra warmth around your neck.

When we first started playing around with the idea of making a midlayer, we had a plethora of styles and functions to choose between. With our design philosophy in mind, we wanted to develop a garment that was both functional and looked good in the mountains or the city, and that could be work all year 'round. The choice fell easily on a wool shirt jacket.

Like our other products, you can go straight from a hike to dinner with your in-laws. Thanks to the wool you won't smell, and thanks to the design you are ready for any occasion.

Use it as a midlayer or a jacket.
