We don't do discounts for multiple reasons. On Black Friday our prices will remain the same, but we will triple our environmental tax.
Black Week and Black Friday are right around the corner. Year after year, these days set sales records in many different industries. This comes with a cost for our planet. At Northern Playground we strive to do our best to protect our planet and those on it. We want to show that caring for the planet doesn't need to get in the way of running a successful business, and we are always looking for new ways to improve our environmental impact.
As all other companies, we are dependant on selling products, but we don't want to take part in the "discount craze". So we are going for Green Friday - Friday November 23rd. Our prices will remain the same, but we will triple our contribution per sale to The Development Funds tree planting project in East Africa, and give 45 NOK per sale to the project.
At Northern Playground we have given ourselves a voluntary environmental tax. For every sale in our online store we give a sum of money to a tree planting project in Africa made by The Development Fund in Norway. That means that every online sale contributes to planting new trees. Planting trees places they usually don't grow is one of the main measures of reducing Co2 emissions.
So what does this have to do with you? It means that when you buy a Ziplongs® or any other product from us, you are also planting new trees in Africa and contributing to making the world a little bit better!
