Black Friday is right around the corner. A day that is overflowing with crazy offers and packed stores. The result is over-consumption and bankrupt businesses because it is impossible to make money.
We say f*ck Black Friday. Introducing Local Friday.
Black Friday is the best symbol of the world we have created: cheap products made in the East that are consumed far too quickly in the West. With Local Friday we invite you to come experience what an alternative can be.
What: Local Friday
When: November 29th, 8 AM - 7 PM
Where: Spaces - Tollbugata 8A, 0152 Oslo
Want to see how textile production works? Or even better; want to sit behind the knitting machine yourself?
With our Made in Oslo projects we show that it is both important and possible to produce cothes in Norway and Oslo.
On Local Friday, you will have the opportunity to experience this up close and personal. Meet the ladies from our production in Grünerløkka, Oslo, and try out being a textile worker and knitting your own beanie. You can also choose between brand new colors on this day.
8:15 AM - 8:45 AM: Short talks - How can local initiatives solve global issues?
8 AM - 6 PM: The ladies from Grünerløkka in-store - knit your own beanie!
