- As of May 2018, the new data protection law in Norway and Europe (GDPR) took effect. As an online retailer we strive to take best possible care of you and your personal data. Below is our statement about how shopping at www.northernplayground.no effects you, as well as what rights you have as a consumer. If you have any questions, get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Treatment of personal data
Like other online retailers, we collect basic information about our customers with the intention of making sure that we get your product to you. This information includes your name, address, e-mail and phone number.
We may transfer your personal data to authorized third parties who process personal data on behalf of Northern Playground for the purpose of marketing.
We do not collect any sensitive data (defined in the Personal Data Act § 9) and do not hold this kind of information about you as a customer.
All payments are made through a third party (Stripe / PayPal / Nets), and we do not keep card numbers or other data that makes it possible for us to share or withdraw any kind of amount from your account.
If nothing else is specified by you as a consumer, the data stays in our system indefinitely. This is so we have grounds for annual reports, etc., but even more so to be able to take care of you as a customer in the case of complaints or exchanges.
The right to be "forgotten"
According to the new personal data law in Europe (GDPR) that began in May 2018, you as a consumer have the right to be "forgotten" by our systems. This means that you can contact us at "email@example.com" and ask us to remove/change your personal data from/in our system. This assumes that your last purchase was made over one year ago, or that we otherwise have the information we need from you as a customer to be able to fulfil accounting requirements.
