DEAR FRIEND
This is written by the company Northern Playground. They are doing something bold, and I think you will appreciate hearing about it.
So what have they done? They have cut their most important channel for reaching new customers - advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Why? Because they no longer want to help fund a company that profits from polarization and making children addicted to social media.
Like most companies, NP has spent much of its marketing budget on Meta and other Big Tech platforms. But now they have pulled the plug and started an experiment:
What if loyal customers, like me, tell friends and people we know about NP instead of letting Meta do it? If it works just as well, NP will cut Meta ads for good and spend their time and money on channels that build real relationships and on local advertising platforms that help build the world, not tear it down.
The first step is this experiment, which is this "letter" you are receiving from me. I like that NP is taking this step, and I have a feeling you might like the company and their products too. If you are curious, sign up for the newsletter through the link below.
The newsletter is anything but ordinary!
If you are already convinced and need something new, or a Christmas gift:
Use the discount code byemeta2025
It gives you 5% off and is valid until Christmas. NP normally never offers discounts, but this is a small kickstart to help disconnect from Meta.
WHO IS NORTHERN PLAYGROUND?
They are a Norwegian clothing brand that turns everything upside down. They call themselves an experiment: Is it possible to make money while encouraging people to buy less? Their goal is for clothes to last long and create better lives with a smaller footprint. That is why they build products for durability, offer free repairs and refuse to push new seasonal colors on us. Instead, they push authorities and the industry to implement measures against overproduction. Some call them an environmental organization disguised as a clothing brand.
Enough talk! Read more about Northern Playground in the links below, or stop by their store in Markveien in Oslo. I think you will like it.
Greetings,
(your friend)
P.S. If you want to follow whether this chain letter is actually a good idea and whether the experiment succeeds in disconnecting from Big Tech, Northern Playground is transparent about both method and results. Feel free to check the link under.
