THE JERSEY THAT REFUSES TO PLAY BY THE RULES
Every year, supporters buy new jerseys – not because the old ones are worn out, but because the system has decided last year's kit is obsolete. We made a jersey that does the opposite.
THE SYSTEM THAT EMPTIES YOUR WALLET AND FILLS THE PLANET
It starts innocently enough: a new season, a new kit, maybe a new player you want on your back. And before you know it, last year's pride is hanging at the back of the wardrobe. Still perfectly fine, just… not quite right anymore. Not because it's broken, but because someone decided it's obsolete.
New sponsor? New kit. New design? Buy again. New star signing? Obviously you need a new jersey. This is the industry's business model: make something that goes out of date – even when it still works.
While wallets are being emptied, the planet is being filled with rubbish. Most supporter jerseys are made from synthetic polyester that takes hundreds of years to break down. Half of all football kit sold becomes waste within just one year. Football has, quietly and quite efficiently, become part of the fast fashion logic.

A PROTEST
Together with climate activist and national team footballer Morten Thorsby and his environmental organisation We Play Green , we started wondering whether it actually has to be this way. The result is The Play More Jersey – a jersey designed to be worn, again and again, at football stadiums, ski arenas, handball stands, or just ordinary days.

THIS IS THE PLAY MORE JERSEY
- Timeless, retro-inspired design with no season or sponsor to go obsolete.
- 100% cotton – no polyester, no plastic.
- 1 free repair included if it wears out.
- Number 2 on the back — Thorsby's national team number and a nod to the 2-degree target in the Paris Agreement.
- For supporters of all sports — and for everyday life.
- Open production lists.
- Living wage and good working conditions for the people who sew it.
- Limited run of 500 jerseys.
We're not doing this to become another commercial player in this space — but to show that it's possible to do things differently, and maybe inspire a few more to do the same.

WHO MAKES SUPPORTER KIT?
It's not always easy to find out who actually makes the jersey of your favourite club or national team.
The Play More Jersey breaks the rules of conventional supporter production – but plays on the same team as the people who actually make it: fair working conditions and a living wage for the people who sew it. On top of that, we're happy to share the production site, the origin of the raw materials, and which manufacturers are involved.
The Play More Jersey is made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton from Hamboya Boyacilik Tekstil in Turkey, sewn together by Lúcia at Lopes & Carvalho in Portugal.
We're not saying this is the solution to everything. But the sum of small choices – including the ones made in the changing room – matters.
The Play More Jersey is, in other words, a protest you can wear.
