We found a hole in our collection: Let's design your next shirt! The goal is to create a shirt you can wear in any situation: In the woods, in the mountains or on a date. Naturally, it must also be designed to be repaired and last for many years. Expected delivery in June.

WHY THE SHIRT?
The ambition behind our design philosophy is to fulfill your clothing needs on a "northern road trip". On a Northern road trip you follow the weather and don't always know what activities will pop up. You might ski, hike, wine and dine, camp or pass time playing cards on a train. In all of these situations having a thin mid-layer that can pack small and be thrown on when it gets cool is both practical and comfortable. What's better for that than a light button-down shirt? What might be the best part is that it can easily be dressed up or down, making it just as functional at the office as on your road trip.

In addition to our own thoughts and wishes, there are also quite a few Community members that have sent us the idea to make a shirt, confirming our assumption that this garment deserves a spot in our permanent collection. Thank you to Rune, Isak, Live and everyone else that sent us this idea!

CURRENT SKETCHES
Based on our own reflections and feedback from our Community, we have decided to test a mixed material made of 80% cotton and 20% merino wool in the first prototype. We have already sent designs to the manufacturer, and expect to receive prototypes of a male and female model in the near future.

In January we also ran a poll about chest pockets on social media. We discovered that 66% of those who answered prefer chest pockets on one side, and that most people want a flap to be able to close the pocket.

We also have a few other fun and practical details up our sleeve, but we want to hear from you first.

DURABILITY
As with all our garments, it is important that we create a shirt that you both can and want to wear for many years. First of all, it is important that the design is classic and isn't based on trends that will go out of style. It must also be durable and be designed to be easily repaired.

When it comes to repairs, we have implemented multiple details to ensure that repairing is as easy as possible. We have researched used shirts and studied the areas that wear out first. For example, we have added a binding on the cuff to protect the main fabric from wear and tear. This is sewn so that it is easy to remove and/or replace if it gets worn out.

We have also drawn in discrete reinforcements on the elbows in the same color as the main fabric. These will also be easy to remove and replace. In addition, the collar is designed so that it can be taken off, turned inside out and used for twice as long. Last but not least, all relevant seams are strengthened to avoid them loosening.

If you have other thoughts about what is important to ensure a long life for this kind of shirt, we would love to hear your ideas in the discussion area below.
