THE FUTURE
GOING FORWARD
HERE’S A GLIMPSE OF WHAT WE’RE PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE
Berlin, 2028
The store is buzzing with life. Dozens of people are working side by side — repairing, redesigning, and tailoring.
You walk in with a worn-out T-shirt, drop it into the return machine, and get a repair credit in return. The T-shirt gets a new life — turned into new products, made right there in the store by someone who was recently unemployed.
You get your Last Jacket repaired for the third time and buy two new pairs of socks. And while you’re there, you decide to join the NP Collective.
€500 for a membership that gives you more than clothes:
A year with fewer, but better garments.
A year of more repairs, less consumption, and deeper knowledge of how to care for your clothes.
A year where some of your euros go directly toward the world’s most important transition: Goodbye fossil. Hello green industries.
AND IN 2030?
You walk into the same store. You repair your Last Jacket for the fourth time. And this time, you can also buy NP food and NP travel — built on the same philosophy:
Less nonsense. More meaning.

OKAY, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT WE’RE TRYING TO ACHIEVE, READ ON:
1. The concept – the combination of products and communication – is so good that it demonstrably reduces consumption. In the future, people will buy fewer things and take better care of what they have. They’ll think: Thanks to Northern Playground, life is simpler, more fun, and has a smaller footprint. BUY LESS!
2. We contribute to more laughter, kisses, cuddles, and hugs.
PLAY MORE!
3. We’re world leaders in making clothes from natural materials that are both durable and loved for years. We’re also the only brand that repairs as many garments as we produce.
4. Because the concept is so strong, we gain loyal customers and grow into a large company. And because we’re large and successful because of our values, we gain influence – enabling us to push industries and governments toward greener frameworks. In other words, we create change where it matters most.
5. We’re owned by employees, customers, and key members of society – including nature itself. No owners demand quick financial returns. Everyone is here for the triple bottom line. What unites us is the desire and will to create change. As owners, we meet, we discuss, and we grow wiser together. The company is guided by that collective wisdom.
6. In a few years, it will be impossible to talk about circular economy or alternative business models without mentioning Northern Playground. In Norway, we’ll be the undisputed number one in sustainability and social responsibility – challenging the grey business world in many ways, far beyond clothing.
7. The strongest tool, both today and in the future, is our brand. It’s built on responsibility and activism that run through every part of the company – from employees to owners. The Northern Playground brand opens doors and hearts, and it’s impossible to ignore. It will also make it possible to launch new concepts and companies under the same philosophy.
8. And finally – based on our success, we write the book “Less is More Business”, which gets translated into 50 languages and becomes a game changer across the world – even in the US and China.
GET INVOLVED
To achieve our ambitious visions and goals, we must reach out to as many people as possible with our messages and get them to join us on our quest of "less is more". Join our journey by getting involved below!
