THE STORY
Northern Playgrounds first saw the light of day in winter of 2011. That day, the goal wasn't to start a company. Our motivation was simply that we wanted a ZiplongsĀ® for private use. There was nothing else to do than to dig out the sewing machine.
All of a sudden we had a company, and today ZiplongsĀ® holds the DOGA Award for Design and Architecture, Scandinavian Outdoor Award og German Design Award. Not to mention it is worn and loved by thousands of customers. Read the full story here.
TEMPERATURE REGULATION
ZiplongsĀ® offers an opportunity to customize ventilation to your choosing. If your pants have zippers, open them and the ZiplongsĀ® up and you will get fresh air directly on your skin. If you want more ventilation, just tuck the Ziplongs in or take them off completely. When itĀ gets cold: zip up!
3/4 OR FULL-LENGTH?
Ā¾ length matches much better with your ski boots, hunting boots, and other tall boots. Ā¾ length ZiplongsĀ® are also easier to get on and off, because you only have to zip down to the calf.
Full-length ensure there is no gap of bare skin if you prefer to wear short socks and boots, as with cross-country skiing or trekking.
YOU ONLY NEED ONE
ZiplongsĀ® is a pair of long-johns that is designed be worn all year 'round, and on any adventure. That way we can try to challenge the way we consume clothing, and encourage everyone to buy less. The clothing we do buy should also be able to be worn on any occasion.
